OM EL ARAB INTERNATIONAL
What is "Om El Arab International"?
We are an Arabian horse breeding farm located in the picturesque Santa Ynez Valley in California. The name "Om El Arab" translates to mean "Mother of All Arabians" in Arabic. Our breeding program began thirty years ago in the Black Forest in Germany before it moved to Santa Ynez. The Om El Arab breeding program is acclaimed as a world leader in producing World, International and National Champions.
How is Om El Arab International unique?
Om El Arab International is arguably the most successful private breeding program in the world. It would be difficult to research the results from all the shows around the world for the past ten, twenty or thirty years, but we believe that those results would reveal the unparalleled influence of the Om El Arab breeding program.
We are extremely proud of the show results from the past year, and feel they represent an accurate portrayal of similar world-wide results for the past four decades. Starting with the U.S. National Show in October of 2006, the unanimous Champion Mare was *El Dorada, sired by *Sanadik El Shaklan. She is the most successful show mare to be bred in Poland.

The first annual AHBA Arabian Breeders World Cup show was held in Las Vegas in April this year. This first-ever international competition attracted the attention of breeders world-wide with horses and spectators traveling to the show from across the country and as far away as the Middle East and South America. Om El Bernadette (Om El Shahmaan x Om El Benedict by Sanadik) was awarded the highest point score of any of the females and was named Junior Champion Female. With the successes of several other Om El Arab bred horses, Om El Arab International was awarded the prestigious AHBA Breeders Cup as the breeding program earning the highest points in the show.
One of the first big shows in Europe is the International Arabian Horse Show held in Wels, Austria. Champion Stallion was Om El Bendigo (*Sanadik El Shaklan x Om El Beneera).
The next major show in Europe was in Menton, France, a very competitive and elegant show on the Cote-de-Azur. Om El Shadina (*Sanadik El Shaklan x Om El Shaina) was named Champion Mare, with both she and Om El Bernadette winning Best Head in their categories.
In August is the Elran Cup show in Belgium. Points from this important show, along with two other shows in Europe, count toward the huge money purses awarded to the champions at the Dubai International show in the U.A.E. At the Elran Cup the Champion Mare was the Sanadik daughter, Eagleridge Passionata, while the Reserve Champion Mare was Om El Shadina, also by Sanadik.
At the International Show in Towerlands, England (another show that counts toward the Dubai International purses) the Champion Mare was Bint Azadik (Om El Azadik x Om El Sabiya Estopa).
At the International Arabian Show in Orsta Kulle, Sweden, Om El Tanam (*Sanadik El Shaklan x Aabacus Shakara) sired the Champion Stallion and Om El Bendigo (*Sanadik El Shaklan x Om El Beneera) sired the Junior Champion Stallion.
The wins of these Om El Arab bred horses highlight the major awards at the major shows around the world over the past year. We know of no other private breeding program with this level of international success. Should you be interested in more show results of Om El Arab bred horses please see our History –Shows page.
